The Brief:
This project consists of creating a concept out of the 20 words shown below. Out of these 20 created concepts, we must pick 10 to further develop into final pieces. Each should be made in a different medium, and
one of them must be a 30-second animation (motion graphic).

Word 1: Adventure
For the word adventure, I thought of creating a promotional video for a worldwide ticket, which would be a holiday pack but instead of just touring a city or even a continent, it would tour the whole world and give you an
incredible cultural experience. It would last quite a long time, such as a month or two during the summers for students, and would take a stop in some of the most famous locations in the whole world.
This video would feature both some animated contents and filmed contents, which would be balanced out well.

Word 2: Conflict
When I was thinking of the word conflict, the immediate natural response I had was to make something about the Russia & Ukraine war, which is currently one of the most talked conflicts at the moment. However I decided to go in another direction, so rather than looking at physical conflicts and wars, I wanted to focus on the conflict we each face within ourselves. Conflict can be
emotional,, as sometimes life can throw at you complicated situations which
end up leaving you conflicted emotionally, and you end up having to make a choice of some sort both of which have a negative influence somewhere. Sometimes you may feel betrayed by a partner / friend which may leave you confused as to whether you should feel sad or angry. This is the kind of conflict I wanted to focus on, and to express this I decided
to experiment with photography to show this feeling of conflict. I want to take picture of people experiencing different emotions and cut up the pictures in lines and make the person seem like they are having two emotions at the same time, one of which could be anger, and another of which could be sadness.

For the word Courage, I decided that I want to encourage people to undertake jobs that generally require courage, but are essential to a community. Such as being a police man I aim to encourage younger people to get into these jobs by creating cool recruitement posters, which could be put into high schools to give people who aren’t sure with what to do with their life some purpose. These posters could also be found in the public.

Word 4: Home
For the word home, I decided to focus on what means home for me. I consider
my home to be in Italy, where my family and some friends are. When I go home, one of the experiences that always shocks me is how good the food is there. I always forget, as I spend long amounts of time away from Italy at
a time, but whenever I go back one of the first things I want to do is go to a restaurant to try a proper pizza. For me that is the moment of realization when I feel i’ve come home. Therefore I decided to create the branding for a pizzeria in Italy.
For the word home, I decided to focus on what means home for me. I consider

When I think about life, I think about the earth and about how it has one magical thing which, as far as we know, not any other planet in our universe has. But so by consequence it also makes me think of the opposite of life,
which is a lifeless rock, such as mars. Right now we life in a critical time in our history, as our generation might
be the first ever to experience seeing life go not towards another moon for a trip, but actually to colonize a new planet that is hundreds of millions of kilometers away. This however would be one of the most difficult challenges
that humanity would face, and we aren’t even sure if it’s possible. One of the issues that Astronauts experience while being out in the
International Space Station (ISS) is feelings of loneliness, and many reports
of psychiatric issues have emerged from astrononauts relating to depression
and anxiety. Going to mars would only be a much more intense version of this, as once the astronauts go there, it’s extremely unlikely that they will ever within their lifetime be able to go back. This could make them go crazy, and after a few years could mean that they forget what life even is, and about how
beautiful it is, which is why I want to createa solution for this problem. I want to create a sort of package that would deliver to these astronauts a
package sent from earth with some luxuries that would remind the astronauts of how beautiful the earth is, and that their efforts are only going to bring some of that life to mars once its ready. The contents could be something simple, like
some fruit or some vegetables. My task in this project would be to create the packaging for these products, and it would have to be something that would
make the astronauts feel like they have recieved something special, as sending a package like this from earth to mars would be incredibly expensive.

Word 6: Love
When thinking of the word love in general, I think about Valentines day as it’s one of the year that is fully dedicated for expressing your feelings of love to those that are important for you. The typical gifts that are given during this day are typically chocolates and flowers, and although they are really cool gifts, people generally just buy generic chocolates / flowers. This is why I decided to create a more unique chocolate bar that is purely dedicated for valentines day, and would only be sold on this day and would hopefully become an international symbol as a “Confession of love”.

For the word responbility, I have decided to create a series of signs that would remind and encourage our responsibilities towards the health of our planet and the management of plastic waste. The signs would ideally help people to remember in a friendly way in public places like a beach or a forest to know where to throw trash, or to remind them to throw it away in general. These signs would be placed specifically in places where trash gets left around often, which is why I mentioned that it would be placed within a beach. The signs themselves could even be incorporated with the trash cans, making htem the same colors.

to focus on is cyber security, which is why I chose to create a shape of a fingerprint using only typography. The aim would be to remind people of the
importance of cyber secruity, as it’s something that many take for granted or many don’t even know exsists. This would be formed as a social media post, aimed to raise awarness of the importance of cyber security.

For the word Trust, I wanted to create a flyer for a law firm that I chose. As our lawyers are some of the people we have to trust the most when we deal
with legal issues, and they are the ones that also know all of our secrets when it comes to protecting ourself towards legal injustices.

Word 10: Water
For the word Water, I decided to create a website which would be able to create a ranking of all the best water bottles / sources that are available and
which ones have the least amount of microplastics found within them. The aim of this project is to make people more educated on the amounts
of microplastics that they are drinking, and to make them pick the water bottles with the least amount of microplastics. This would make the water
companies with low microplastics more sucessful and popular and run the high microplastic water companies out of business, theoretically. It would also encourage more research into how to eliminate microplastics in general.
